    Bought a vacation package at a festival. Never received a email notification confirmation showing our purchase. Multiple emails and calls to Capital Vacations and never received a response. Had to dispute the charge with our bank. Our bank has given Capital Vacations more than a month to respond to our dispute. Still no response. This company is a scam. I wish we would have googled before purchasing. False statements. Complete scammers.

    They just want their money. No positive customer service. Missed a weeks ********************** due to 2 major surgeries. No reminder or confirmation. And they will not even work with me on this. And of course, there was no management i could talk with. Basically sorry, your out of luck, money and your week. I heard they were hard to deal with. That is a understatement. Be careful and cautious if you deal with them.

    False statements and misleading information. This company told about a dinner party I was invited to, only to find out it was trying to get me to buy more. Let me start by saying I am a disabled Combat Veteran of Foreign Wars. I have a condition called (TBI) Traumatic Brain Injury,. (PTSD), and suffer from Cancer form Agent Orange from ***************** I signed a contract alleging it would enhance my experience with Capital vacations. I was told by **** ***** a **** of the company that it would not affect my credit, nor would I have to pay any more money. He buttered me up cause he was a veteran too. This was a lie because it went on my report and I did have to pay more. They promised me 200 towards my maintenance fee and 100 gift card for traveling over 2 and a half hours. when I realized I was lied to i cancelled. So they never gave me my ***** deposit they took out my account nor the 100 gift card. Had to wait 2 months for the 150 which was not the 200 as promised to go to my maintenance fee. A few days ago, they called me back for so called dinner party, only to tell me because I cancelled my contract automatically went from ****** to ****** because i canceled. and wanted me to buy more. I declined. So at the end of this 2nd dinner party they came with a lie and said that because I didn't bring my wife, who is clearly not on the contract, that I was not going to receive my 50 dollar deposit back in my account, my ****** maintenance guaranty, nor ***** gift card. I believe because I'm a Disabled Veteran of 65 years of age they took advantage of me, and also I believe they discriminated against me by my Race.

    I have a time share and Capital Vacations offers a service to sell your week if you are unable to use it. Capital Vacations details its fees for doing so, which includes 30% commission, credit card processing fee and potentially a *********** fee. The unit was rented for 5 days per a discussion I had with a Capital Vacations representative. Our week was in mid February. We did not receive the first invoice from Capital Vacations and instead paid the second invoice with a late fee in March, 2024. In May/June I inquired why we did not receive the proceeds from the sale. It was mentioned that Capital Vacations held on to the funds because we were late in paying the invoice but it would come later. After numerous calls I was finally told that a ticket has been issued to pay the check. No check came. After calling them again and again (they never called me back) I was told that it is their policy to keep the entire amount if you do not pay your invoice by the time it is rented. I asked where that was stated and was told the rental agreement. I informed them it is not stated there. Then they told me the yearly invoice. I informed them it is not stated there. They then told me a supervisor would call me back who told me he would try to help me with no promises. No one calls me back after further inquiries. This is just a delay by Capital Vacations so I will eventually stop trying to get paid for my week, so they can keep the entire amount. Very unethical.

    ************************************** Resorts completely misled us when we purchased our timeshare. They falsely claimed it would act as a real estate investment that would appreciate in equity and value over time. This deceptive promise played a significant role in our decision, only for us to later discover it was entirely untrue. To make matters worse, we were subjected to hours of relentless, high-pressure sales tactics. One of the most alarming aspects was their failure to disclose critical details, such as the annual maintenance fees increasing by at least 5% every year, with no end in sight. Even more shocking was the omission that these fees would be passed down to our heirs indefinitelyan important fact that would have completely changed our decision. From false promises of exclusivity and effortless booking to a lack of transparency about skyrocketing fees and perpetual financial obligations, we have faced one deception after another. What we initially perceived as a valuable investment and a convenient vacation solution has now become a financial burden. The constant challenges in securing reservations, paired with the never-ending financial burden, have left us feeling trapped and deeply disappointed. This company has fallen woefully short of delivering on its promises. We are absolutely fed up with this dishonest operation and want to warn otherssteer clear, or youll regret it too!

    DO NOT PURCHASE any vacation packages, especially if you try to get a refund for it. I have left many voicemails because you get sent straight to voicemail instead of speaking with a person, which I have not received a call back. Beware of this scam company. Just at all the other 1 star reviews.

    We were told to attend an owner update as a new Company managed **********************************. We attended, first salesman said the Resort we owned was basically in financial straights, that Capitol Vacations bought 75 percent and that our hoa fees would be going up 15 percent per year for foreseeable future and no RCI Points would be available after jan 1, 2025. We don't know if that is accurate, but it sure felt uncomfortable. We were told that today only we could transfer our deed ownership to ******* for a big discount; "today only" was theme. Next salesman in new room said that today only for $35,000, plus $2500 per year in annual maintenance fees we could buy a silver plan of ******** points per year; allegedly ***** vacations days per year all over the world. We asked for website to see how ******* worked in real time. No one was "allowed" to show us their account on website. He also did not have any phone number to HOA that we could call to verify the information. We told them we were uncomfortable and didn't want to sign any waiver. Before we left, we were given a third ******* in another room who after another 30 minutes were told that for $2,000 we could buy ******* points for a trial of 2 years again only offered to owners. We asked to see in real time what ******* points could rent. He again said he couldn't log into any real time account but could show me the book. We looked up the Resort where we are staying in the Capitol Book. The week during the dates we are here was ******* points. I looked on Expedia in his presence for renting our room for a week; it was $1200.00. In essence, we would lose $800.00 to use a "trial" membership in Capitol Vacations "only" offered to owners. I'm not sure if the salesmen's representations were actual fraud, but they were misleading and threatening. We didn't trust what they said. I do not recommend dealing with Capitol Vacations or trusting their representatives based upon our very unpleasant experience.

    Capital Vacations! We are so frustrated right now. We have a paid in full timeshare with Grand Crowne and always kept our bills paid with them. Then Capital takes over and it is all about the money! We asked to cancel as we are no longer using it and they come back wanting another $2,158.00 after we have paid the yearly maintenance fees already! This is an exit fee! Now bear in mind we are being asked to pay them to take back a property we have already paid them $11,000.00 for. We feel we deserve a refund not having to PAY them to take it back. I sent a letter and even talked to them by phone asking for assistance and they refused to help me nor would they let me speak with a manager or supervisor. This company is terrible to deal with. My advise to anyone is to stay far away from them!

    Capital vacations has canceled my reservations due to them saying that I am not qualified when I gave them same information in the **************** took my payment & booked the trip. Now that I am seeking a refund they are not providing any ticket tracking information and they keep disconnecting the phone call so that I cannot get a resolution so I believe this a scam because why is it so hard to reach a department who can reverse the payment. Also hanging up on customers is very unprofessional.

    If I could give minus 5 stars I would. This past August I began a transfer of ownership from previous owner to myself, here it is ************ am no further along than I was in August. I call just about weekly & I am put on hold, or someone will get back to me. NO ONE EVER GETS BACK TO ME. I am now a few thousand dollars into this ******************* seems like there is NO END in site. My advice to ANYONE thinking about investing with CAPTAIN VACATIONS..... DON'T DO IT. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 74 plus years.
